Come explore the power of contemporary dance to inspire change at “7 Decades of Human Rights”, an event aimed at taking stock of Thailand’s human rights journey and stimulating dialogue on turning international human rights obligations into national norms. During this event, key principles of the seven human rights treaties that Thailand has ratified, and everyday struggle of marginalized people to enjoy rights guaranteed by these instruments, will be illuminated in “7” – a contemporary dance performance created by internationally celebrated dance master Pichet Klunchun. The audience will also be invited to a post-performance conversation with Pichet himself on the role of arts in human rights advocacy and social changes.
This event is sponsored by the Delegation of the European Union to Thailand and the Rights and Liberties Protection Department.
